SUE WICKLIFF BIO

“Art is a business, but it is also very personal,” she says. “And, it’s my desire to help people see art in a context that is personally enhancing.”

“I discovered in my 20s that I was very intrigued with business and being self-employed,” she says. “Having an interest in the antiques and fine arts industry, I opened a retail antique shop specializing in American Victoriana and collectibles.”

Following a successful career in the acquisition and sale of fine antiques, Sue Wickliff recognized the lack of (and need for) specialization in the auction arena. That insight, along with her growing knowledge and appreciation of fine antiques and objets d’art led to the establishment of Wickliff & Associates Auctioneers, Inc., a company which deals exclusively in fine art, antiques and specific items of quality.

Innately skilled with the more personal aspects of the business, she soon learned to utilize the latest technology to benefit her clients and maximize returns.  Along the way she developed industry savvy and increased her specialized field of knowledge. “One of my greatest responsibilities to clients is to keep abreast of changes in the market place,” she says. The result is many years of successful business ownership.

Now with that understanding of both business and art, Wickliff has designed a gallery which uniquely reflects the winsome synergy which can exist between investment and beauty.  Wickliff stated, “I am constantly adding to my product knowledge in order to give clients sound advice.”
